Round 3 of the Regional Growth Fund now open

Round 3 of the Regional Growth Fund is worth £1 billion.

Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly were successful in their programme bid to Round 2 and were awarded £13 million for infrastructure project and grants for business.

The funding has been split into two separate strands.  The first strand is competitive and will provide grants to small and medium sized businesses and social enterprises.  One element will provide investment to grasp the opportunities presented by superfast broadband and the other will provide Grants for Business Investment (GBI) style grants for premises and equipment.  The second strand is to fund infrastructure projects in the marine, mineral, renewable energy and aerospace industries which will unlock private sector investment.
